Originally illustrations were scanned and resized to a maximum of 300 pixels high. This was done to conserve disk space and broadband width. Since October 2007 we've thrown caution to the wind and have resized the illustrations to a maximum size of 500 pixels high or a maximum 600 pixels wide. If the original scan only produces a graphic of 200 pixels high that is what is available.

These illustrations are not available by downloading from Accessiblebookcollection.org. You need to email Joe at joe@accessiblebookcollection.org and request them. He will Pando them to you. Are you familiar with Pando? It is a service that permits the transfer of large files and is available for free at www.pando.com.
